The Holy Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and, therefore, are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The King James Version of the Bible shall be the official English translation used by Agora Evangelism Ministries. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
The Trinity
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons— Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; John 14:10, 26; 2 Cor. 13:14)
Sin
We believe man was created in innocence and in the image of God. We further believe that man willfully disobeyed God and became a sinner and that consequently, all men are now sinners by birth and by choice; and by nature stand condemned before a Holy God and are in need of salvation. (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12; Psalm 51: 5; Romans 3: 23)
Salvation
We believe salvation is solely by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary. We further believe Jesus shed His sacrificial blood on the cross, bearing our sins and making atonement for those who accept Him as Savior. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for believer. (Hebrews 2: 9; 10: 4-14; II Corinthians 5: 21)
We believe that salvation is free to all who will believe and that when we repent and believe on Jesus, through faith, we are saved (pardoned of our sins) and that we receive the gift of eternal life. We also believe that those who are saved, are saved eternally and kept forever by the power of God. (Acts 17: 30; 20: 21; John 1: 12, 13; 3: 3-7; 10: 28, 29; Romans 8: 29, 30; Ephesians 2: 8-9; 4:30; Titus 3: 5)
The Second Advent of Christ
We believe in that "blessed hope", the personal, imminent return of Christ Who will rapture His church prior to the seven-year Tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom which was promised to the nation of Israel. (I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:4- 21:18)
The Personality of Satan
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the author of sin, that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. (Ezekiel 28: 12- 17; Isaiah 14: 12-25; I Peter 5: 8,9; Revelation 20:10)
Creation
We believe that God created the universe in six literal, twenty-four hour days. (Genesis 1: 5,8,13,19,23,26,27,31; 2: 2; Exodus 20: 11)
These articles of faith do not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that the foregoing articles accurately represent the teachings of the Bible. All literature used by Agora Evangelism Ministries shall be in complete agreement with the Articles of Faith.
