Reaching the Marketplace for Jesus

Dan at the Fair  

I was working at the evangelism booth on Saturday morning. I was standing in front of our booth area, off to one side, talking to a young couple. As I was wrapping up I noticed a family from our church approaching the booth – a mom, dad and two young daughters (grade school age). 

At first I thought they were there to help with the personal evangelism. Then I noticed they were walking around the booth (we weren't very busy) and were talking very excitedly among themselves. 

After the couple left that I was working with I turned to the family and said, "Hi, Dan. What's up?" His wife chimed in (huge smile on her face) and told me that he was showing them "were it happened." 

Then it hit me. On Friday Pastor Frazier had told me that Thursday night Dan was working at the booth and, not only did he talk to someone about Jesus for the first time in his life, he actually had led 4 people to Christ that night.  He had brought his family to the fair just to show them where he had led his first people to Christ. 

I asked her if she was talking about the miracles on Thursday night that her husband was a part of. Nodding her head, "yes", she told me that, when he got home on Thursday night they stayed up until way past midnight recounting every detail and every miracle of the night. Dan couldn't get a word in edgewise. With tears in her eyes she told me about each of the people that are going to heaven now because her husband stepped way out of his comfort zone and was willing to talk about the closest thing to his heart. 

As they walked away from the booth arm in arm, each holding a daughter's hand, I was sure their feet never touched the ground.
