Isaiah

Isaiah (the 6th grade boy, not the prophet) came by our booth in the afternoon with one of his friends, Brandon. They were both hanging out with their parents at the fair while their parents worked in one of the booths. I was the only one working in the afternoon at our booth since it is typically slow. I went through the gospel with both boys and they accepted Christ as their Savior.

About an hour later Isaiah came back and asked me how he could share with others what I shared with him.

Let me take an aside here and describe how our ministry presents the gospel. We use 5 colored beads (gold, black, red, white and green) on a rawhide bracelet. Our tract is set up so that a Christian that has never witnessed can just read the simple tract to a person and lead them to Christ. Or, an experienced soul winner can just use the beads and lay their own presentation on top of the colors.

I took one of our tracts off the display on the table at the front of our booth and handed it to him. I told him to read it over a few times then come back tonight about 7:00 when my workers would be there to help him.

He came back and sat with one of our ladies (the pastor’s wife from the one of the churches working with me). He watched her present the gospel a few times then he read the tract to her. She said he was ready.

I stand at the front of our booth inviting people to come in to get a free gift with a message. I kept my eyes open for a young person for Isaiah to talk with. After about 10 minutes a young teen aged girl stopped to listen. I had her sit with Isaiah.

It was pretty awesome. He sat in front of her and just read the tract, took her down the Roman Road, and led her to Christ.

A young boy. It was the first time I’ve ever met anyone that led someone to Christ on the same day that they got saved. If he can do it, we can do it.  He will do great things for God some day.
